The Best Of: Laura Geller*

The Best Of: Laura Geller* Color Lustre Lip Glosses, Diamond Dust Baked Gelato Illuminator, Balance and Brighten Powder Foundation

Laura Geller is a brand I have only just discovered in the past few months. They very kindly contacted me back in November and I tried out their colour corrector and one of their swirl illuminators. You can see that post here.

Laura herself will be on QVC next month, showcasing some of her favourite and most popular products, so they thought they would send some goodies out to try beforehand.

I am shocked by how much I have been loving the Balance and Brighten Powder Foundation. It isn't something I have ever really been on board with before. I have tried a few powder foundations before, but now it just seems to be SO quick and easy. This is potentially due to my new lazy approach to makeup if its quick and easy, I am all for trying it, and this one just helps to blur all the imperfections without looking powdery or cakey. It's like a real-life filter.

Unfortunately, I am definitely in between shades, but fortunately, I somehow manage to pull either one off. I prefer the Fair on days with minimal makeup, but the Porcelain is incredible for setting foundation across my nose and chin, definitely helps to brighten up my skin.

I also have been trying out their new Diamond Dust Baked Gelato Illuminator.  The white highlight is perfect for those pale princesses like myself, desperate for a blinding highlight to stun everyone with. The Pink shift also makes the white completely wearable, less artificial and party, more everyday blinding.

The Color Lustre Lip Glosses are still foreign territory for me. For years I have written them off as sticky hell. But over time I have begun to give them another chance, but only when my hair is tied up. No stick. These give the appearance of your lips being bigger, and although they are coloured - they only give a very slight tint to the lips rather than a full change of colour. I have really been enjoying them especially the peach one (Pink Cake) the pinker one is Berry Smoothie, and definitely has a more pink tone on the lips than the peachy one, but either way, they are both beautiful on, and something I have been reaching for a lot on my lazy days.
