Laura Geller: First Impressions*

I LOVE trying out new beauty brands, and Laura Geller is one brand that I was yet to try until now - so exciting! :)

Her range is known for the beautiful baked gelato swirl illuminators, I mean how stunning are they? The perfect pan, such a stunning presentation. She does have a full range to go alongside her highlighters, blush, correctors, lipsticks - you name it. So it was lovely to try out the cult classic along with something a bit different.

The Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator (£21.00) is described as:

"Illuminate your natural beauty! This innovative hybrid texture applies like a sheer powder but feels like a cream, creating a translucent wash of luminous color that can be swept all over the face for a lit-from-within glow. A fresh 3-D design captures the look of our favorite Italian dessert, and lasts until the very last application."

I was sent the shade Ballerina – a candlelit, rose gold shade - which is beautiful. Unfortunately the shade doesn't work well as a highlighter on my skin tone, but works more as a blush topper. It is stunning though, and really does give a healthy sheen to your skin. I keep reaching for this for a little bit extra to my look.

The Filter Corrector Colour Perfecting Balm (£25.00) is described as:
"#NoFilter? No worries. Our color-correcting collection was made for close-ups. Dab away redness with the Green shade, blend away dull skin with illuminating Blue, and spot correct dark circles and hyperpigmentation with the Peach shade. It’s every major complexion concern handled, like a pro."

I have been loving using this over the past few weeks. I have been hit with some pretty horrible spots, and this seems to be the only thing that is covering them up at the moment. The green combats the redness created, and the blue helps to bring some life back into my skin.. the peach is always loved, helps beat those dark circles! This is such a fab little trio, so compact for its uses! :)
