July Favourites 2018

How is it almost August?

First off, I am SO sorry about the photos for this post, to be honest, I completely forgot, then rushed, and urgh they look terrible. SO BAD. If they all of a sudden change, you know why!

So I thought I would take the time to walk through my July favourites, including bits I wore or purchased on holiday! :)

July Skincare Saviours

OMFG I JUST WANT IT STOP BEING HOT.

This is definitely the - 'I'm too hot to breathe' edition of this post, and my skincare favourites definitely reflect this. Everything within this roundup seems to help either cool me, or combat the fact that I am too hot and sweaty. Fun times.

The Classic Red Lip

There is something to be said about classics, they are often classics for a very good reason, and the red lip is no exception to that rule. A classic red lipstick seems to never go out of fashion, yet seems to rarely be spoken about - so I thought I would run through what I have in my stash, and ask for any more recommendations if you have any.

A New Brand: La Cure Beauté

La Cure Beaute is a new brand on the block, and boasting all natural ingredients too! They very kindly sent me across some of their range to try and test out, and they have been in my routine for over a month now, and I must say - I am enjoying them.

Anxiety Is Kicking My Ass

The offload post, the rant, the explanation.

88 days. It doesn't seem that long does it? That is how long there is between my English Exam and getting the results.

In two weeks time, exactly to the minute from this post going live. I will know if I have managed to get into uni or not. The thought of that alone terrifies me, and I have been dealing with internal demons since the minute I walked out of that exam room 74 days ago, demons which have grown from cute little anxiety bunnies to big ass FURIOUS MONSTERS SCREAMING "YOU ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH" who then exorcism style throws up everywhere in an anxious mess that is me. But still, only 14 days to go...

#PixiGlow: Liquid Fairy Lights & Glow-y Gossamer Duos*

The pretty glittery eyeshadows everyone needs

Everyone and every brand seems to be obsessed with glitter at the moment, and I am SO on board with Pixi going for it too - and they always seem to do everything so well, and this is no exception. The packaging they arrived in alone was beautiful, along with them presented with the highlighters. YES. Pixi know how to slay a PR package.

So I thought I would give you a review on how I have been getting along with them all, after using them for a good few weeks now! :)

Holiday Heroes

HEY YOU GUYS!

I'm back, properly this time, and I am here with my holiday favourites, the bits that I reached for the full week I spent in Tenerife.

My mum and I used this the whole time we were away. It was just quick and easy to use, no stickiness and it absorbed quick. I would like to say I didn't burn, but I did - but that has more to do with my pale Scottish skin than the SPF.

This was my go-to for AJ. Kids don't stay still for long, especially when it comes to sun cream. The spray nozzle on this was ideal, and the formula dries quickly and left him burn free the whole week - which is always a complete bonus with little people.

This was all I used on my face the whole week, and it stopped my nose from resembling Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, which for the size of my nose is a VERY good thing. I also came home with a tan on my face, which is unusual for me. The foam itself is dry, so soaks in really quickly with little effort. I even wore makeup over it with no issues at all.

Finding sunglasses when you struggle to actually see is a NIGHTMARE. Seriously. Perscription sunglasses can be SO expensive - and I live in Scotland, it's never sunny here, so I decided to buy myself new glasses, then get clip ons for on top. Best idea ever - and they look fab. Iolla for the win.

I LOVED using the GoPro, check out the post if you haven't seen it already - but it was an absolute joy to have on holiday, by the pool, at siam park. I don't think I would be able to go away without one now, and I am seriously considering getting one for myself! :)

Being chubby is HARD. Seriously chub rub is real in heat - and it is so not cute. Check out my post for everything I did while I was away to avoid it lol

GoPro Hero 6 Black Review (Pros + Cons)

A little tech review

My camera obsession just seems to grow and grow constantly, it isn't even healthy anymore how much I dream of getting the shots *just right* or to be able to create the shot that has been buzzing about in my head for weeks/months. This is how the GoPro ended up on my radar. With my holiday quickly approaching I realised *oh fuck* my current camera (The Olympus Pen E-PL8 - Review Here) was far from convenient for the kind of shots I wanted to take. I needed something waterproof. Something that could go to Siam Park, be next to the pool. Something with kick-ass quality yet durable.

World Duty Free Haul!

Who doesn't love spending all their available cash in Duty Free?

There is something exciting about splashing the cash in a shop before you have even had the chance to leave the UK. Every time I go on holiday I dream of the purchases I will make at the airport. This time was no different. I squealed when I walked in, SO EXCITING!

M&SBeauty: Suncare & Tanning Edit*

The Tan Edit, from a pasty chick.

This post has been a long time coming, but I wanted to wait until I actually had used them before passing a final judgement on their sun powers, and what better time to do it than on holiday? YAY!

Matrix #BloggerMatch: A Hair Refresh, Grey Coverage and Updos With Fin&Co* (Carnoustie)

Complete Hair Goals For Me

I have so been loving the journey with Fin & Co so far, I love my stylist Ashleigh and her understanding of thick hair problems, she just completely gets it, which makes hair appointments so much less stressful for everyone involved.

June: Life On Film #3

A little life update, on an old camera. LOVE IT.

I thought I would ease back into the blogging world with a little life on film update, this is what my old camera shot in June, with my scribbles of course :)

This months just seems to prove my obsession with Ice Cream, so yeah, that is fun lol, I promise I haven't just lived off ice cream, I swear. (Kinda) We have been in love with the weather, and AJ is now off school for summer!

I do hope you enjoy, as this is my favourite post to create, it's just so fun! :)
