Too Faced: Chocolate Gold Palette Review + Swatches

Oh lord, it's beautiful. 

Say hello to the newest addition to the Too Faced Chocolate Bar range. The Chocolate Gold Palette, it's BEAUTIFUL. Seriously stunning. I am kinda digging the fact that they mocked Makeup Revolution a little by copying the packaging that they use to doupe their other palettes. Very clever Too Faced, I see what you did there. 

I think there are different types of makeup lovers, the ones who love a matte look, and those who love ALL the glitter, cannot get enough of it. I definitely love the glitter. Anything remotely shiny and sparkly I will hunt down and put on my face. Especially when it comes to eyeshadows. 

Ben very kindly picked these up for me when Debenhams had their offer on. He spoils me, I'm calling this early Valentine's Day present -the most beautiful one. 

T H E   U P S 

Overall, the palette is perfection. I cannot seem to stop using it. The glitter is just insane - the pigment is second to only pigments when it comes to the shimmer value. I want to cover my face with the shiny goodness. 

The fantastic part about this palette is the inclusion of matte shades. Pulling off a complete glitter eye look can be really hard, so adding in matte crease shades and darker shades to deepen - it just gives the palette that ease factor. And you won't need to bring an additional palette to work with it too. 

The shades all work best with finger use or a dense brush (or wet) but I personally think they are well worth it. They blend beautifully, and that shine - wow. It's like no other. 

T H E   D O W N S 

I love the shades, formula and pigment, but I hate how there is a gigantic gold, then a teeny crease shade. I know it will be used way more than the gold, so it's just frustrating. 

The pink and green are not as metallic as the rest, and as much as I would ideally like them to be, but they are still beautiful on - just not as beautiful as they could be.
