Project Pan 2016

I have titled this post project pan, but in complete honesty its not something I am 100% on. I really enjoy the concept of using what you have, but the idea of using something daily that you don't really like to then end up sick of it - just to finish it - doesn't really appeal to me. If I don't like or use something, it's going into the bin, its the products I love and use that are at risk of hitting pan.. so here are the things I can see myself finishing this year.

1. Rimmel Stay Matte (£3.99) - Ok so this one was an easy one, already hit pan on, but am excited to finish this - mainly to try something new. Really would love to try the Soap & Glory "One Heck of a Blot" (£12.00) but will make that decision when the time comes.

2. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream 100ml (£70.00) - I have had this now for just over a year, half way done still not my favourite scent. For some reason it just doesn't last on me, scent fades away. I use this on days I don't have anything planned but still want to smell nice. When this is done a cheap scent will replace it - like one from Next, and I may just treat myself to a bottle of Jo Malone for a high end substitute.

3. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette (£23.00) - I use this for my eyebrows, almost every day. I use a mix of the dark brown & black then use the highlight on my brow bone. This poor palette is doomed this year, no way will it stay full. My main hope is I use the other colours more before I have to buy another one (which I will the minute this one becomes unusable - perfect for dark hair brows) The only excitement I will get from buying another one of these is the new one should hopefully not be broken and reset, but that it the instagrammer me wanting pretty products...

4. The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer (£17.49) - ...talking about ugly products. I love Mary Lou, but dang I dropped her. It breaks my heart everytime I open it, I hope I pan this just so I can have a perfect new one.... which I will never drop again and look after *I promise* On a serious note this highlight is perfect to me, no doubting this will be finished. Love you ML.

5. MAC Honey Love & Velvet Teddy (£15.50 Each) - my two go to lipsticks, I don't doubt for a minute that I will finish these this year, and I have never finished a lipstick - ever. It's a big deal to me, but at the same time they are so good I can't avoid what is coming.. the end of the lipstick... and me running to MAC to repurchase.

6. MAC BlushBaby (£18.50) - I have used this so much this year I'm surprised I haven't hit pan already. I use this constantly. It is my perfect "my cheeks but better" shade. This will be repurchased the minute it's finished.

7. Make Up Revolution Radiance Palette (£8.00) - I told myself once this was finished I would treat myself to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders, but considering the £50+ price difference I may just need to repurchase this one... either way I use this all the time, it's got no hope of lasting the year.

8. Urban Decay Naked Palette (£38.00) - The original palette, the best palette. Half Baked and I are in love. It is because of this love affair that I fear for how long it will last now. I have a considerable dent in my half baked.. so I plan to try and use the rest more... so when I do hit pan and rebuy the palette it isn't as much of a waste when I bin this one.... oh the trauma of a premade palette. (or I may just buy the Naked 2 so I can have another one....hmm)

So there is the products I don't expect to last the year. Obviously this doesn't include Foundations, Mascaras, Concealers as these never last me longer than a few months - but will be nice to see what I have actually used up this year, not just how much I have bought!

Are you thinking about which products you will finish and have to replace this year? what comes to mind? Let me know in the comments below :)

  1. It's a shame you dropped your Mary-Lou and the products that I feel I will hit pan on are the ABH powder contour kit, Bobbi Brown bronzer and probably my Tartelette palette! xx

  4. Half Baked is my favourite from the Naked palette :) I love Blushbaby too - you only need the tiniest amount so mine still looks practically new! xx
