Pretty, un-matte lipsticks

Without even a shadow of doubt lipstick has to be my favourite part about applying makeup. Something about that final touch of a coloured lip just makes my heart sing.... especially when it is a shade you just completely love.

Over the past few years my heart has completely belonged to the Matte lip. 90% of my lipsticks have a matte finish, and overall, they would be the ones I would gravitate towards when it comes to splashing out on a new lipstick. But recently I have found myself going for a creamy finish, something not matte - and to be honest I am loving it.

Don't get me wrong, when it comes to any form of bold lip I will always opt for a matte finish, but I am beginning to realise the beauty in a standard, old school, lipstick. Especially in a "my lips but prettier" shade.

So I thought I would talk you through my top picks for non-matte lipsticks, my favourite formulas I have tried so far.

This beauty is part of an exclusive set from World Duty Free, BUT, the formula overall is utter perfection. As Estee Lauder has a huge range you will be able to find something similar too, but this one is beautiful and I am completely in love with it. This is as close as I can get to my lip colour, so I find it just compliments beautifully.

This is my *I feel so fancy* lipstick. This is my go to for natural makeup looks, especially for more fancy occasions: weddings, date nights, university interviews... I just love the pink sheen, it is utter perfection, and one I would definitely recommend picking up if you can.

Fraser from my local MAC counter made me buy this. I wasn't overly bothered with a peachy sheeny nude until he tried this on me. If you love Honey Love from MAC, you will love this one. The light nude shade is perfect against my paler skin, without washing me out or making me look unwell, even nicer with a slightly deeper lip liner.

This is brand spanking new into my stash, and I already love it. The lip balm like feel to this lipstick is perfect for those cracked lip days. I find this looks beautiful with minimal makeup, and one you can touch up blindly though out the day, one of the easiest lipsticks I own, which now lives in my handbag!

I cannot believe how expensive they are, but damn they are beautiful. These lipsticks really make my heart cry, I LOVE the formula, it is unbeatable when it comes to long-lasting and sheen, but the price is really steep for the amount of product you get. *cries* but if you are looking to treat yourself, I very highly recommend this formula - it's beautiful.
