AJ: Philips Sonicare Electric Toothbrush (For Kids)*

AJ: Philips Sonicare Electric Toothbrush (For Kids)*

The Philips Sonicare Electric Toothbrush was very kindly sent to us to try out. AJ was so excited to have something sent through for him, I don't think a box has ever been opened quick enough. So we decided that this would be AJ's first guest post on my blog. I'm saying guest post - but I am writing it - with his input - and his modelling (badly).

Info: AJ is 6, (And his name is actually Andrew James)

Within the box you get:
Toothbrush Body
1x Small Brush Head
1x Large Brush Head
1x Charger
8x Case Stickers
1x Sticker Sheets
1x Instructions.

The toothbrush also has built in Bluetooth so can be synced up with a phone/tablet. This isn't mandatory for it to function, but kids really love the feature - any excuse to have the tablet for 5 minutes longer a day and they are all up for it. Helping to look after Sparkly is definitely an incentive - think of it as a tamagotchi that you keep happy by brushing your teeth - they love it.

AJ's Thoughts - and Pictures
(I apologise now for these pictures, it turns out he isn't the best at naturally posing... and well, yeah.)

I like the toothbrush - its cool like Mums and it buzzes and it tells me when to change sides and it tells me when to stop. I like it being blue, but red is better. But the stickers are all a bit pink - which isn't good. I want some red ones.  I like the app. It's silly. It means I get to have a shot of my iPad and do something when I brush my teeth, but sometimes if we are in a rush I don't get to use the iPad, but it still works. Just not as fun.

From a parent perspective I love how it has him interested in brushing his teeth again, his teeth are a big source of anxiety for me - and I really want him to take care of them. The app helps me to monitor his brushing quality, and that mixed in with his dentist check ups helps me to feel secure in his brushing habits. So is well and truly worth the investment.

This would make a fantastic gift for Christmas, something outside of the typical present, but something that will last them for years and serve them well for their future. I would highly recommend investing in a good electric toothbrush if you haven't already!

(The refill heads are available for £16.00 for a two pack)
