Another month, another haul.
I haven't spent a bit in Boots/Superdrug in so so long! So recently I have been in and picked up a few bits I have had my eye on for a while.
First up was superdrug. They had a 3 for 2 offer on across everything. This offer is without a doubt the best one. You can pick anything across any brand in the offer - which means you can get what you need without being tempted to spend £100 on 4 things you needed plus 8 things you didn't.
First thing on my list was a new primer. I recently finished my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (£10.99) and was trying to decide if I wanted to repurchase or try something new. I spent a good 30 minutes swatching, until I bought the same again. Nothing else felt as moisturising. Plus I love the packaging of the healthy mix serum, you can view my full review on it here.
Now this was a total impulse buy. When I seen the Real Techniques were included in the offer, I couldn't not have one. I couldn't decide between their face brush, or the sculpting brush. Both very similar but the sculpt has a slant. I opted for the sculpting brush (£9.99). (just because it was pink) and I am SO glad I did, it is one amazing little multi-tasking brush. I have been using this for pretty much everything. Foundation, concealer, powder. It reminds me a lot of the Real Techniques Buffing Brush, which I love too. But I must admit... I think I love this one a little more.
My first free item was the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colour in "Obsession" (£8.99 - Swatched Below) (or it may be devotion, the website is showing very similar colours, and the bottle doesn't say) I have had my on these since they came out. I LOVE the packaging, and so far the formula seems good, will be interesting to see how this wears.
Next up I hit the essence stand. Now Essence is a brand which Superdrug seem to be in denial about selling - you cannot find it on the website. Even Essence (website) doesn't know their is a counter at the back of the smaller superdrug in Dundee... but if you want to see where your local stockist is check here.
I have heard a few people raving over their setting powder "all about matt" (£2.99) - so I needed to check this out, plus I have just finished my Rimmel Stay Matte, so it was needed! I then opted for a Mosaic Blush in "Berry Connection" (£2.50 - Swatched below) My teeny free item was a little tube of their Make Me Brow (£2.50) This was needed after I realised my brows are far too long to be left untamed!
So there is everything from Superdrug, not a bad little haul!
From boots I picked up two of the Nyx Liquid Lingerie Lipsticks (£6.50 swatched below). These are proving to be pretty awesome, I spent so long looking at swatches online and finally decided to go for Embellishment - which is a cool purple mauve tone, and Ruffle Trim which is an orangey nude, I don't have anything else like this, and I love the way it looks on.
What I would say about them, is that the colours are all very similar, so you definitely do not need them all, and boots colour selector thing on the website SUCKS. google swatches so you know what you are buying :)
while I was in boots I also picked up Nail Varnish Remover (which somehow isn't online) and this reduced bottle of Soap & Glory's Sugar Crush. At £3.50 (normally £7.00) this was a total bargain - and I couldn't not have it. It smells like summer in a bottle, Boots describe it as "Sweet Lime and Vanilla Musk" and for the price its fab for using on boring summer days, when I still want to smell nice too.
So there is everything I have picked up over the last month, what have you been buying recently? Let me know in the comments below :)
