Kiko Long Lasting Eye Shadow Stick Review & Swatches

Kiko is a brand I have been meaning to try for a while now, I have been desperate to get my hands on a long lasting eyeshadow stick ever since I bought my By Terry one here

Jasmine (from JasmineTalksBeauty) told me the Kiko option was just as good (and no where near as expensive) so curiosity has been annoying me for the past month, just bugging me to try them.

So when Kiko had an offer on over the bank holiday weekend for "Buy 3, get 3 free" so I took full advantage to buy 6 (yes 6!) of them.

I'm not going to lie, when I was choosing my colours I originally had 6 brown shades, ever so slightly different brown shades. But I told myself no, choose some outside your comfort brown zone Erin.

Golden Brown is typically me - shimmery, beautiful, browny gold. Ticks every Erin box.

Golden Taupe is along the same lines only darker - so I chose these to stay, and made myself try some new colours.

Rosy Brown isn't too far away from what I am used to, I have a few similar to this (like Seventeen Rose Quartz) so I knew I would get plenty use from this.

Emerald Green is shocking green, I'm not going to lie. The colour scares me, it is a definite GREEN. No brown, but I am sure I will use it... I just need to pluck up the courage.

Purple is the same, bold and wild. I have a purple MAC lipstick which I really want to use more, so I bought this to encourage me to just go for it.

Burgundy is a colour I always love the look of on other people, I just need to go for it and see how it looks on me. I will be adventurous!

Now, the part that made me shed a tear. By Terry Bronze moon  is my PERFECT shade. Really its perfection. It doesn't matter how many of this type of colour I have, I will always buy another one. It is the shade I am always drawn to first. So without even thinking I bought Kiko Golden Brown, I didn't think "hey Erin Bronze moon will be the same"...

Well it turns out it is EXACTLY the same. Same colour, same longlasting formula, same pencil packaging, this isnt even a doupe it's an exact copy in different packaging, only with £6.90 price tag vs the £29.00 By Terry one. *sob*

I must say I do not regret buying my By Terry pencil, like every makeup junkie I love to just *own* one, but I doubt I will buy another when these are equally as good, and with 32 colours to choose from you really are spoilt for choice from Kiko.

So have you tried these before? Have you ever found an accidental Doupe? Let me know in the comments below! :)

Check out the Long Lasting Eyeshadows on Kiko's website here for £6.90 each.

  10. Damn it, I didn't know this offer! I heard that they are the dupes of By Terry ones, so this was one of the reasons I gave it a try. I really like the formula and how long lasting they are. Rosy brown is one of the colours I want to try out.
