A Lot of Favourites

Yes, the mug really does have coffee in it. Multitasking. So, I thought I would share everything I have loved this year, everything from the very minimal amount of makeup I have used, the skincare which I have used lots of, and everything else which has caught my eye.

Clinique has just really impressed me this year. I have tried lots from them, either old classics or new products - and I have loved everything I have tired. Stand out favourites are the Clinique Even Better Refresh Foundation £30.00 Full Post Here - it's been the only foundation I have used this year on any consistent basis. I have loved their accompanying lipstick collection too. The Clinique Even Better Pop Lipsticks £17.50 is SUCH a stunning range based on your foundation shade. I love my match 03 - Romanced. The Clinique Chubby Stick Highlighter £21.00 Full Post Here is now my second one - the perfect fake inner glow - and perfect to blend in the car with my fingers! Lastly, the Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour £18.50 in Curviest Caramel is the perfect nude shade for those minimal makeup days.

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette £45.00 (Full Post Here) is the perfect mix of shades - and I haven't used any other blush since I purchased these. They really are the perfect quad for any occasion.

I've really fallen in love with Shay & Blue this year. I started off with the Shay & Blue Blood Oranges* £55.00 (Full Post Here) over summer and completely fell in love with the fragrance. It was perfect for those warm days and held a certain warmth to carry it through the colder months.

I was then introduced to Shay & Blue Black Tulip* £55.00 (Full Post Here) and completely fell in love all over again. The deep sexy scent is perfect for nights out, dates and meals with loved ones. I've found myself reaching for it daily over the past few weeks too.

These fragrances are pretty much the only two I have consistently reached for this year - and for good reasons too - they really are beautiful.

Another brand which has stood out this year has to be Dermalogica, their products are yet to disappoint - and I have loved trying so much from them. The Dermalogica Prisma Protect* £58.00  Full Post Here is my go-to when I sleep in too late to wear makeup (which is all the time) - I keep and apply this in the car. The Dermalogica Age Bright Clearing Serum* £58.50 Full Post Here is my newest Niacinamide product - my hero ingredient to avoid the spots! The Dermalogica PreCleanse* £39.50 Full Post Here is my favourite oil-based cleanser at the moment - it's just so quick, easy and enjoyable to use. Lastly, the Dermalogica Skin Perfect Primer* £46.50 Full Post Here is the only primer I have been reaching for. The silicone-based primer is SO nice to use on oily skin. Definitely helps to fill my pores and help my makeup sit and last so much longer.

This year has definitely been the year of the house plant for me, my house is now part jungle - and I love it. The Pilea Peperomioides is definitely my favourite - even with its tendency to create offspring quicker than I can keep up, to the point I now have 9. But they are stunning - I love them. This one is one of the babies - the originals are now big, and well - difficult to photograph in a christmassy background.  Full Post Here

My Lucy & Yak Dungarees in Maroon have been worn the most this year. I LOVE them. Love the way they look, and they are SO comfortable. Look adorable all year long, and I love changing up the tshirt or jumper I wear with them. Lucy & Yak are also completely ethical, environmentally sourced and they promote all the positive changes needed within the clothing community. Highly recommend checking them out if you haven't already.

The Zara Pink Cord Coat £29.99 has also been a firm staple. Definitely not a warm coat, but I love the way it looks and wears. It just seems to work with everything else I wear - which is always a bonus.

I love my two new additions. They are SO stunning, I love the designs and colours used - couldn't be happier with them! If you are local to Dundee definitely check out MJUTattoo at Sanctuary Tattoo. Her work is beautiful, she is super lovely - and super talented.

I've been slowly replacing my hundreds of random mugs with 6 Le Creuset ones - and I am SO glad I did. I have a rainbow of them, and I love the way they look, and they are even nicer to drink from. My Mum is constantly asking me which one is my favourite colour, so I will admit I LOVE the "volcanic" shade - the orange one. The yellow is stunning, but the orange has won my heart.

I've also been loving the Pick n Melt Subscription. £10.00 a month for 12 chosen scents - and they have SO many to choose from. I especially love Banana Bread, and I love all the pumpkin scents. IssyBelleFox talks about Pick n Melt all the time - so it was from here I found them, definitely worth trying if you haven't already.

Life is pretty chaotic - more so than ever - but I wouldn't change it for the world. My house is never tidy and I am forever tired, but AJ and I are happy. I survived the first year of university, and my path to becoming a midwife is getting shorter and shorter. This year has seen me start placements - I have seen a fair few babies been born now, and had the pleasure to catch 15 of them.

AJ is happy and thriving. Obsessed with football and anything lego related. He now refuses to kiss me or hold my hand in public - but he is still the sweet affectionate boy he always has been - just not in front of his friends!

Onwards and upwards into 2020 huh?
