NIA Sunday Detox Review & Competition*

I did a post with NIA just over a month ago - you can see the post here. And I loved their products (their cleanser is so good) At the time I was really sad the Sunday Detox was out of stock - it looked so good - Then NIA contacted me again a few weeks ago to see if I would like to try it now it is back! Needless to say I said yes - and they very kindly sent me two, one for me - and one for a giveaway (More on that later)

NIA describe the Sunday Detox as:

It's Sunday fun day... time to de-stress and decompress... but more importantly, do away with the signs of a long, crazy week or an epic Saturday night. SUNDAY DETOX whipped clay peel-off mask is the perfect way to undo the signs of a long, crazy week or an epic Saturday night. The rich clay mousse with its luxe, whipped-velvet texture whips pores into shape, purifying and drawing out dirt and debris like an insta-facial. Then, the mousse dries to a peel-off mask that lifts away dead skin cells - and any nasty blackheads - for smooth, radiant skin ready for the week ahead.

how to use

  • Shake well
  • Apply a generous, even layer to clean, dry skin, avoiding eye area, brows and hairline
  • Leave on 10-15 minutes or until dry
  • To remove, gently peel off and rinse any excess with water
  • Use weekly

The consistency of this reminds me a lot of shaving foam - which is quite odd when you are applying it, but it does apply really evenly, and isn't sticky or thick. It then takes about 15 minutes to be dry enough to pick off.

The downside I would say is the smell. It's pretty strong - but after using it you will quickly forget the scent, because it leaves your face feeling SO smooth. It really does help to lift the gunk out of your face, which is just so, so nice.

This is definitely something I reach for once a week now during the weekend pamper routine! Highly recommend picking this up if you are looking for something to refresh your skin.
