Two Words. LIMITED EDITION.
BOOM. Goodbye money, goodbye spending ban. HELLO PRETTY.
Seriously though I just cannot say no to the MAC limited edition products with the different packaging.. ever. No self control at all. This one is in calm heat, the perfect KimKW nudey nude. Love it - and so worth it.
But it is ALL about that bronzer. The Clarins bronzing and blush compact the be exact. I seen it on instagram and it was love at first sight. Every single time I went into Debenhams I swatched it... then they did 10% off and I was DOOMED.
But still, I found that I was managing the no makeup ban really well up to that point, I was managing... but I was managing by just spending my money else where... if anything I spent more money than I typically would... just on clothes and homeware rather than makeup.
This seems to be a common issue for when people go on a specific item no buy - we don't save money, we just spend elsewhere - and this is where I went wrong.
Maybe in a few months ill try an outright no buy - for clothes, everything... but right now I am happy not restricting myself, and not bankrupting myself either! - she says knowing the Kat Von D stall opened today... goodbye money, hello pretties.
Have you ever done a spending ban? How did you find it? Let me know in the comments below :)
Great.
ReplyDeleteI'd say both of those were well worth breaking your spending ban for!

Spending bans don't work for me either, one sale and I'm done haha! I usually try to save money by only spending a certain amount on clothes/makeup whatever per paycheck. That also doesn't always work but it's better for me than an online ban!

You chose two beautiful items. I totally want them both now! xxx
ReplyDeleteThat lipstick looks gorgeous! When I go on spending bans I just avoid shopping like the plague and distract myself with other things x

I'm on a makeup spending ban! I have been since January when my hubby told me we are going to NYC in June! So I have 6 weeks to go! Trouble is I'm going to imats in London in may....I think I should be allowed a pause of the spending ban for that as I'm looking into becoming an MUA so I think I should be allowed that one day out of almost 6 months 😂😂😂
ReplyDeleteCompletely acceptable reasons to break the ban! That lipstick is GORGEOUS!

SO worth it!! You may have just encouraged me to go buy them myself, hahaha. xxx
ReplyDeleteHaha these buys are definitely worth failing on the ban. But hey sometimes we just have to treat ourselves right?!

That MAC packaging is so pretty! I'm trying so hard to resist right now! Also, that bronzer looks lovely.

Yes, I agree. You can't wait when the beautiful limited editions come out. First of all, if you wait there is a huge chance that they will be sold out in s few days and second if you wait too long, they'll never come back. This limited edition of Mac packaging is just so adorable.

The Clarins bronzer looks so pretty :) I always think that whilst it's important to save, being able to treat myself at the end of the month to a little something always gives me extra motivation. If you've worked hard then why not?

Ahh! Maybe you just need to give yourself a budget to spend on makeup etc instead :D I'm not great at spending bans bc alcohol. And cheese. Those things are expensive.
