Battle Of The Cleansers

best cleanser review, super facialist oskia cleansing gel balm clinique

I do love a good quality cleanser. It really can make the difference between a spotty face, and a pretty one ;)

So here is my top picks at the moment, the ones I am using the most - and what I like about them :)

Pros: I love the feel of this, how it melts into a smooth oil like texture, and it breaks down makeup really well.
Cons: The smell, kind of chemically not very nose pleasing.... oh and it gets super grubby... not very pretty after a few washes.

Pros: LOVE the smell of this, very fresh and is a pleasure to use. Melts my makeup beautifully, and doesn't make my skin any oilier (I was worried about putting oil on my already oily skin - but if anything it helps it!)
Cons: The packaging leaks, so is a nightmare to take anywhere.

Pros: Love the texture, it smoothes out into a white gel and removes makeup effortlessly. Very luxurious and the smell reminds me of Turkish Delight - which is no where near as bad as sounds.
Cons: The packaging. I HATE not being able to see how much I have left. It drives me completely bonkers, and the price being that high I am expecting to see how much I have left... to prepare for a repurchase (if I want to that is)

I honestly love them all for different reasons, but packaging is an issue for me, especially when you are asking me to part with £30. Packaging should be flawless. In all honesty I would say the Oskia is not worth its price tag. (I know, I know - the hype - not worth it)

As for the other two my pick would be the Una Brennan Super Facialist. Simply because it just ticks every box while keeping its low price tag. Sure its a bit of a pain to take travelling, but overall it is the best one. No wonder I have converted my friends over to it!

As for the Clinique, I do love it. And it is so worth it if you want to try something different! So good for travelling too, zero chance of this one leaking.. but put against the other, it looses... but only by a little bit.

Which cleansers do you use and love? Have you tried any of these? Let me know your favourites in the comments below :)

  10. I really love the idea of a cleansing balm, though how grubby the remaining product must look after a while was also my concern!! Great reviews Erin, I love how honest you are :)

  11. I adore cleansing oils! Hands down my favourite way to remove makeup. I've gone through like 5 bottles of my sanctuary cleansing oil.

  12. I've been using The Body Shop Camomile cleansing oil recently and that too is a nightmare to travel with as is always leaks no matter what! I'm still pretty eager to try the Oskia gel- after using the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish for years I think I can get past not being able to see how much I've got left!
