I was in boots last week, spotted these and HAD to fill a palette, it was a must. So here is a look around what you can get from MakeUp Obsession, and the swatches of the ones I went with :)
First up is picking which ones.... they have SO many, they each come separate in little clear containers, so you can choose between getting one, a few... or a palette. Which you can get a smaller 6 palette, or a large 12.
I ended up getting a 12, because I clearly have no self control. Ha. So here is the ones I went for.
My first comment would be is to watch out...not all shadows are created equal, some seem to be stunning on, but others do not blend well with others. I will state which ones I liked, and you can make your own opinion up from there :)
1. Pearl - I have actually really been enjoying this shade, this is the perfect under the brow highlight for me, just stunning on every eye look!
2. Mood - This one is on the fence, stunning shade, warm neutral colour...but doesn't work well as a base, colours don't really sit well on top of it. But still pigmented, lovely colour.
3. Cinnamon - This one is a dud for me, just not pigmented enough, doesn't blend well... I will probably swap this out for something else later.. which is a shame, that super warm orange tone is perfect for right now.
4. Rich - stunning gold shade, lovely all over the lid, but doesn't blend well with Cosmo, which is upsetting..
5. Cosmo - this one again is a dud, swatches beautifully but for some reason the brush just doesn't pick up enough pigment for me... :(
6. Ibiza - This one is a must for me, BEAUTIFUL. lovely shimmery Taupe shade, it is stunning and the pigment is perfect. Stand out, this is one you need.
7. White Out - this is actually an eyeshadow, but it is somehow making a good setting powder? Probably because I am so freaking pale. *sigh*
8. Perfect (Blush) - Stunning blush shade, but SUPER pigmented, you need a dab, just a dab, or you will end up looking like a clown, but once you have mastered the art of it, it is lovely. Worth the effort!
9. Bronze (highlighter) - This is a slightly pinker version of mary lou, definitely not bronze, but ideal for us pale girls :)
10. Banana Powder - Love this, so so good. I can see this being used up pretty quickly!
11. Light Contour - again love this, total stand out.. and one I would highly recommend. The perfect shade for fair skin. Finding a contour shade when you are as pale as I am is HARD. But this one is perfect.
12. Light/Medium Contour - This is the ideal deeper contour bronzer shade, really lovely.
I really hope you enjoyed a look at my newest addition, and I hope it all made sense! In conclusion I would say go for a contour palette with Ibiza eyeshadow in it to begin with, then read up on the shadows and grab the best. But with their teeny price tag there would be no harm in testing some out :)
I would LOVE it if you could follow me on Bloglovin' (I follow back too)
Great selection! I love the shades Rich & Cosmo! :)

I love these, I picked up the Eyeshadow shade I'm 'Burnt' and it's so similar to Cosmo but it transfers well onto the eyelid. I'm so tempted to get more shades. x

Cosmo looks stunning, shame that brush doesn't pick it up :( It is annoying that the formula of the products aren't consistent! Shiny palette looks cool :)

I haven't heard of this before. Lovely colours!
ReplyDeleteI really want to get one or two of these palettes, the highlight and contour shades look amazing! I love so many of the eye colours too and I'm glad there's a lot of warm toned neutrals as they're some of my favourites. It's a shame some of the colours are harder to work with, but I suppose that was bound to happen! xx

I love the look of this palette. Saw your snaps when you first got them. The palette itself is gorgeous since it's rose gold and love that you can buy what you want to put in it. Such a shame Cosmo didn't perform better, as it looks like a lovely colour on your arm.
