Taking A Day

In the Words of Suit's Louis Litt: "I Need a Day"

I have spent the past two years of my life fighting for a future I know I want. Over the past two years I have spent hours upon hours studying, stressing, dreaming of the goal: To become a midwife.

Back in March I got a conditional to get into the course at RGU (Aberdeen). My conditions were set to gain a C in English. My worst subject. On Friday 11th May at 9am, I sat my English Exam.

It's done now, there is no more I can do. But I have spent months prepping for this 3 hour exam, so much riding on such a small paper, my whole future essentially. Hence why I have been MIA from the blog for a while. I have been cramming as much as I possibly can, hoping to get that C.

I thought when I walked out the exam, I would feel 100% better. In actual fact what happened is that I came out the exam feeling like a weight had been lifted, but then a bigger one took it's place. I think I had been suppressing every other stress in my life, home, work, AJ, the blog. Every other aspect, to the point that when the exam finished - my brain let it all out. Friday I was feeling lost, and yesterday - well I couldn't even think straight.

I think we all need to realise more that we do have a breaking point, and this was mine. It is important to realise that this is completely normal to have, and if you ever get to that point - taking the time to breathe and recover is all it takes. Sometimes you really do need to take a day just to organise your thoughts into order, to deal with life.

So I took a walk, with my camera. Here are the pictures, because, well, its my blog and I'll post what I want, and this just completely calmed me - ready for more exams over the next two weeks *yay*
