My Top 5: Body Moisturisers

Hello Autumn/Winter... Hello Dry Skin.

My skin is fine all summer long, then the minute it hits October/November it dries out. Especially on my legs. So I spend ages using a moisturiser to ensure my skin doesn't become a complete flakey, peeling mess.

I love the fresh lime scent of this, it really is SO nice. This one is perfect for a quick moisturising boost. I find it doesn't leave a sticky film on your skin - so is quick to absorb into your skin too.

"Wake up and smell the citrus! Soap & Glory's ultra-rich body buttercream is loaded with shea & cocoa butter, almond & coconut oil and a super-refreshing double-citrus whammy of uplifting lime oil and smoothing lime tree blossom extract."

This one is definitely the thickest - and definitely leaves more of a layer on your skin, but wow is it good. Definitely hyped and loved for a very good reason - the body shop body butters are a cult classic now - and I can see why everyone loves them. They leave your skin feeling super soft and really hydrated!

"Nourish skin with our richly textured, fabulously fragrant Special Edition Banana Nourishing Body Butter. Enriched with Community Trade organic banana puree made from bananas that won’t sell to the food industry (we don’t care if they’re the ‘wrong’ shape or size!), our fruity vegan formula provides 72hr moisture and leaves skin feeling softer and smoother."

This one is IDEAL for when you are in a hurry or going out. I use this like hair conditioner - and apply at the same time - you apply in the shower, wait for 3-5 minutes and wash off. It leaves your skin feeling super hydrated and smelling incredible.

"Cast a fanciful spell at Christmas with this saccharine body conditioner to feel enchanted all day long. It takes bubble-gumption to smell this sweet."

This is almost oil-based once used. SO hydrating, and perfect on the driest of skin types and will leave your skin feeling silky soft - and much better! This definitely isn't one to be applying before you get dressed though - it will need time to dry down, soak in. But worth the effort.

"This ultra-hydrating, rich, creamy body butter melts into dry skin to provide long-lasting nourishment. Its fluffy, whipped texture makes it super indulgent to apply - the most decadent step in your skincare routine!"

A classic, designed for dry skin and eczema. I know if I get to a point where my skin is sore, this is the go-to. AJ uses this throughout the year. On his skin, in the bath. Dependant on how bad his or my skin is this is the one we go for. Perfume-free, relieving, deeply moisturising.

"Epaderm Ointment - for the management of eczema, psoriasis and other dry skin conditions.
Epaderm Ointment is a rich emollient formulated with clinically proven ingredients that deeply moisturise the skin. It has no fragrances, colourings or preservatives making it ideal for treating a wide range of skin conditions and is especially suitable for babies and children."
