Make Up Collection: Top Used Eyeshadow Singles

I never used to like eyeshadow singles, I found them too fussy. But over the past 6 months I have learned to love and appreciate them. Simple washes of colour, or to add a little something special.

So here is my top 10 most used eyeshadow singles, I hope you enjoy!

1. By Terry Ombre Black Star "Bronze Moon" £29.00 >> (Post Here)
I must say I do use this a lot, I love the blendability and the colour, its really beautiful. What I would say, is that I doubt I would repurchase this. Don't get me wrong, I love it, and I use it. The pleasure of owning it is a joy to any beauty lover. But... £29 is a lot for a stick, especially when Kiko do one exactly the same (see them swatched side by side here) I just think next time I would opt for something else, but then I wouldnt say it was a regret #beautyproblems

2. MAC Cinderfella £18.00 >> (Post Here)
This is one I swatched and just NEEDED straight away. It is a black eyeshadow with a high amound of silver glitter within it, so so beautiful. I surprisingly use this quite a lot, not all over the lid - I am way too chicken for that, but to give something a bit different to a smokey eye. I really love it used in the crease with a glitter black liner too, can you tell I like glitter?

3. Seventeen Mono Eyeshadow "Statuesque" £3.89 >> (Post Here)
Seventeen's formula for eyeshadow singles has to be one of the best in drugstores. They are super creamy, really pigmented and just beautiful to work with. The colour range is pretty awesome too, I love the duocrome ones this most, this is a Taupy pink one. The one downside to these is that they do break easily, but any creamy eyeshadow is the same, and at least this one is inexpensive to replace!

4. Clinique "Willow Pop" £15.00 >> (Post Here)
Now I did rant about this one and say how much I was disappointed by it, but I cant deny that I do use it a fair bit.. so it had to be in here. Saying that I will not repurchase, and I would sooner recommend MAC Sumtuous Olive, which is better and nicer :)

5. Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hrs "On & On Bronze" £4.99
Cult Classic. Seriously who does not own one of these? they are incredible. Highly recommend picking one up if you havent already. This is perfect for a quick sweep of colour. My go to on lazy days :)

6. Make Up Revolution "Mountains of Gold" £1.00
MUR are a new brand, but they are quickly becoming a drugstore favourite. Their eyeshadows can rival the higher ends, and this one is my favourite from them. this is highly pigmented, but not the smoothest, works great with some setting spray, but for £1, can hardly complain!

7.  Lancome Ombre Hypnose Stylo "Taupe Quartz" £20.00
I love the taupe grey shade of this, its just beautiful. Lancome pricing is half way between Kiko and By Terry, but in my opinion slightly beats both. Lancome is definitely longer wearing, to the point you need an oil based make up remover to remove it 10 hours after applying it. Some people may dislike that about it - but I think its great if you want a look which will last anything.

8. Urban Decay Scorpio £14.00 >> (Post Here)
I bought Scorpio for a nightout, and haven't used my Naked palette without it since. It is the perfect pair with a gold smokey. Check out my post on it for a full look. I love it.

9. Elizabeth Arden "Anchors Away" £3.99
This was a limited edition find in TK Maxx. it is beautiful. Elizabeth Arden's cream shadows are more moussy in texture, very odd consistency, but blends beautifully. If you are looking for a good colour doupe, I recommend checking out Seventeen's single in Rose Quartz

10. Kiko Longlasting Eyeshadow Stick "Emerald Green" £6.90 >> (Post Here)
I have been loving these since I got them, Kikos formula is awesome for the price, not to mention their shade range is the best by far. I love this green shade, so different. But the full post is worth checking out to see the other colours, as they are all equally as good.

So there is my top 10. As you may have noticed MAC and MUG singles are not included here, mainly as I class them as palettes, as they are not designed to be alone.

  1. Oooh so many awesome shades, it's hard to pick out a favourite! :) I'd really love to try Seventeen products but we don't have them here; Maybelline Colour Tattoo eyeshadows are my old love, they're just perfect! :) And yes to Make up Revolution, I have two palettes by them and I'm seriously loving them plus they're super affordable!

  9. Single eyeshadows come handy when you're in hurry and you don't have time to create that perfectly blended eye makeup :) I love my Kiko stick and tbh I wouldn't pay £28 for a single eyeshadow, however packaging looks so fancy!

  16. I still am dying to try the kiko shadow sticks! I don't have very many single eyeshadows since I tend to grab for palettes. The eyeshadows that I do have that are singles are the Loreal pressed pigments. The color Amber Rush is my favorite!! Have you tried those?
