Top Minimal Lip Products

Sometimes life just calls for a really minimal lip to pair with a barely there makeup (or if you are like me, not actually there makeup) - As much as I am a die hard matte lipstick lover, I just don't think it suits no foundation and no other makeup - so I tend to opt for a more subtle look instead. These are the items that I have been loving for this, call this the lazy lip (That still looks pretty too!)

Lipstick Queen Morning Sunshine just makes my heart sing. The yellow look of this lippy is just stunning, then considering it then changes to a stunning pinky peach shade just makes it the most wearable shade too. The £22.00 price tag is pretty excessive for a tinted lip balm, but I just love the gimmick aspect - the yellow.

If you checked out my Lip-Balm Low-Down, you would see I don't rank the Glossier Balm Dot Com very highly when it comes to repairing damaged lips, but I do love it for grabbing as a lip topper to just make myself feel and look like I have made half an effort. The formula isn't overly shiny - but this just means my lips don't look dry or discoloured. Plus it tastes pretty good too!

The most surprising product of 2017 to me was the Fenty Gloss Bomb. I'm still a bit shocked that I like a lipgloss. For years I have said they are horrible, sticky monsters that I refuse to have anything to do with.... then BAM. Enter the Fenty Gloss. Don't get me wrong I still won't wear it with my hair down.... but it jsut is the perfect balance between sticky and shiny. Well worth picking up if you haven't already.

The Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector in Rosewood Shimmer is the middle ground between lip balm and lip gloss, I find it works beautifully with really minimal makeup, an added sheen onto your lips to give them the "I actually made an effort" look.

For an extra effort I always reach for the Dior Addict Lipstick in 881 Fashion Night. I had one near enough the same (But Virgin Vie) back in high school and I loved it. It just somehow manages to look good without needing a face of makeup to go with it.

So there is my top picks for lip products, what is your go to minimal lip product? I would love to know in the comments below! :)
