Spectrum Brushes Siren Smoke Set Review

Have you ever seen prettier brushes? Spectrum ROCK the pretty makeup brushes. Without a doubt the best brand for Instagram friendly tools... surprisingly the brushes are pretty amazing too.. pretty and good? All for a cheap price.. what more could any makeup lover ask for?

I have actually been sent Spectrum brushes before, I reviewed them here. But these ones I have spent my hard earned cash on - because having one of each brush - just isn't enough (especially when you are lazy like me and HATE cleaning them)

So with this colour-way, spectrum offers 3 sets. The full set (£89.99), the siren sculpt (£44.99) and this one, the siren smoke (£39.99)

I decided to go for the eye set simply because face brushes need washing less often... so I didn't *need* more.... I would have liked more, but money... argh. But still, I am happy to have more eye brushes in my stash - avoiding washing for another week! YES!

You can never have too many!

A06 - Large Fluffy Shader
Without a doubt the best eye brush I own. I would happily own two of these in every colour. It is just the perfect size, applies product beautifully and cleans quickly in-between shadows. I hate a brush that holds onto the product so needs washed all the time - this isn't one.. it is just the perfect all rounder.

B06 - Tall Tapered Blender
Think MAC 217 without the effort of having to maintain the real hair. This is the perfect brush to fix any mistakes you have made... blend them all away - yet being precise!

B04 - Small Angled Shader
I typically use this for smoking out the undereye, or applying super bold/dark shadows carefully. It's much needed... especially as the bold colours are a nightmare when it comes to removing.

B03 - Baby Buffer
I use this one for blending out a cream eyeshadow like my ByTerry Ombre Blackstar. It's quick and easy to blend all out a harsh edge without being super precise. It's also good for blending out a cream highlighter.

A12 - Fluffy Shader
This one I don't own already, but so far I have been using it for inner corner application, it is the perfect shape and size for this.

A15 - Lip Liner
This is the only one I wish they hadn't put into this set. I just feel like it doesn't fit with the rest of the eye brushes. Plus I rarely use a lip brush. I wish instead of this they had added the A13, it is like a short stubby brush PERFECT for under the eye precise application. But isn't a deal breaker it not being included - I am just picky!

A17 - Angled Brow
I use eyeshadow to apply my brow products, so to me this is the perfect brush to apply with and make sure they are looking good!

You can pick up the Siren Smoke Set Here for £39.99

  1. That's a really good price for the set! I recently threw out around 20 brushes and bought some replacements that I'm loving but I haven't tried any Spectrum brushes - will keep them in mind for my next splurge! xx

  10. I wish I could have all of the sets you mentioned in this post, I know I don't need them but lets be honest, who can resist! The tapered blender would have to be my favourite out of them all.
